Welcome to the website of the Sacramento Floral Design Guild.
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of floral design. Founded on July 25, 1951 by Iva Gard Shepard.
Our mission is to provide education, resources, and networking opportunities to our members to practice the elements and principles of floral design and to promote civic and environmental responsibilities.
We invite your participation in our activities and encourage you to join our organization. Workshops and general meetings are held at the Shepard Garden and Arts Center on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month respectively, September through May at 10:00 a.m., unless otherwise announced. General meetings include designs made by our members that are critiqued by the Guild’s credentialed flower show judges, followed by an hour presentation by a guest floral designer.
The Guild is a member of the following organizations: National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC), California Garden Clubs, Inc. (CGCI), Sacramento River District
